Research Interest
Dr. Murray-Krezan’s clinical research interests are wide and varied, with a focus in recent years on substance use disorders (SUD), as well as interventions to improve the health and well-being of marginalized, underserved, and underrepresented populations. She also has an interest in women’s health, the intersection of pain and SUD, and mental health. She has been involved in clinical trials research since 2007 and has an affinity for patient-centered trials with complex behavioral and medical interventions. Additionally, Dr. Murray-Krezan is dedicated to the success, growth, and integration of data coordination in multisite clinical trials and observational studies. This includes research in the areas of novel or best study designs, recruitment and retention methods, and integration of pragmatic approaches for study outcomes. Methodological research interests include developing new methods to identify and correct for informative drop-out in the survival analytic framework.
Educational Interest
Dr. Murray-Krezan has extensive teaching experience for graduate students in clinical research programs. She is the course director for the Institute for Clinical Research Education’s (ICRE) Regression and ANOVA class and annually serves as a guest lecturer in the Advanced Grant Writing classes. She also co-taught the Clinical Research Methods course. She is the Biostatistics Mentor for several K scholars and provides research mentorship to junior investigators. At the University of New Mexico, Dr. Murray-Krezan taught Biostatistics for Translational Research in the Master of Science in Clinical Research program for 10 years. She also served on multiple thesis committees and provided research mentorship to dozens of medical and health science trainees and junior faculty.
