Clinical Interest
My clinical interest is broad ranging in the area of adult clinical cardiology. The primary focus of my clinical interest involves the management of coronary artery disease and its complications, congestive heart failure and cardiac arrhythmias. Management of cardiovascular risk factors, including hypertension and hyperlipidemia is also a strong focus of my practice. Cardiovascular services are provided both to inpatients and in the outpatient arena. Noninvasive cardiac imaging including echocardiography and nuclear imaging are also provided.
Educational Interest
Participation in teaching and medical education is an essential component in my career as a clinical cardiologist. Teaching the cardiovascular block for sophomore medical students allows the introduction of cardiovascular physiology and physical examination skills. Medical resident teaching is also provided in the clinic as well as in the hospital. Educational services are also provided to training physician extenders.
