Fellowship Programs
Welcome to the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine (PACCM). Our division offers three distinct fellowship training programs:
- Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
- Sleep Medicine
- Pulmonary Transplantation Medicine
The PACCM division also participates in fellowship training in Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
Several important factors contribute to the excellence of our fellowship training programs:
- Our faculty and fellows care for a large and diverse population of inpatients and outpatients.
- The PACCM division offers research opportunities in virtually all aspects of Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine.
- Our faculty include accomplished clinicians and scientists, who are enthusiastic, energetic, and dedicated to providing our fellows with outstanding clinical and biomedical research training.
- The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine is known for both excellence and innovation in medical education and currently ranks eighth out of 123 US medical schools in NIH funding.
- The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) is a large, financially sound, and rapidly growing health care system. UPMC focuses on the care of patients in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia but also provides health care for patients throughout the United States and the world.
