Profile
Robert Muder, M.D. is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases and Chief, Infectious Disease Section at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System. He received his MD in 1977 from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh where he was also the Chief Medical Resident from 1980-1981. In 1983, Dr. Muder completed a two-year clinical fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Pittsburgh. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (1980) and in of Infectious Diseases (1984). His research interests include nosocomial infections, epidemiology of multiply resistant bacteria, infections in long-term care, and Legionella infections.
