Clinical Interest
I am interested in providing echocardiographic guidance for structural heart interventions. This includes the screening, intervention and follow up study of patients undergoing transaortic valve replacement (TAVR), MitraClip, Watchman for left atrial appendage occlusion and percutaneous closure of atrial septal defects. Being a member of a heart team with surgeons and interventional cardiologists is a very gratifying activity to provide optimal patient care.
Educational Interest
I am interested in teaching cardiology fellows general cardiology in my outpatient clinic. I enjoy teaching internal medicine residents rotating on cardiology services. I supervise the training of sonographers and cardiology fellows working in the echocardiography laboratory. I am an active member of the American Society of Echocardiography and participate in national meetings as a faculty member.
