The University of Pittsburgh Hospitalist Fellowship Program is a 2-year training program in inpatient internal medicine.
The goal of the program is to train physician leaders, educators, and researchers in providing excellent and comprehensive inpatient care. The curriculum is designed to provide hands-on experiences in inpatient care, training in medical education and research, and opportunities to learn quality improvement techniques and to develop a focus on research and education in one area of inpatient care.
Fellows in the program are mentored in scholarly research or curriculum projects, and they are encouraged to present their results at national meetings and to publish in scholarly journals.
