Profile
Dr. Yu joined the faculty as an assistant professor of medicine and psychiatry. Her research is focused on the applications of advanced psychometric theories such as item response theory (IRT) methods to health outcome measurement. She collaborates with investigators on the development and validation of item banks for various constructs using IRT. She is the lead psychometrician in developing the Patient-Reported Outcome Measurement Information System (PROMIS) item banks for Sleep and Alcohol Use.
