Profile
Yael Schenker, MD, MAS, joined the faculty of the Division of General Internal Medicine, Section of Palliative Care and Medical Ethics in 2010 and became the Director of Palliative Care Research in 2014. She is an affiliate faculty member in the Center for Bioethics and Health Law and a member of the Biobehavioral Medicine in Oncology Program at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Center. Dr. Schenker has received funding from the National Palliative Care Research Center, the University of Pittsburgh Clinical Research Scholars (KL2) Program, and the National Cancer Institute. She is conducting a study to evaluate the integration of palliative care services in the multidisciplinary approach to patients with advanced cancer.
