Profile
Dr. Borrero’s research examines disparities in reproductive health care. Dr. Borrero is particularly interested in identifying targets for interventions that will improve contraceptive use and decrease unintended pregnancy among vulnerable populations. She has used both quantitative and qualitative methodology to investigate how patient-, provider-, and system-level factors contribute to observed racial and socio-demographic differences in contraceptive behavior and subsequent unintended pregnancy. She is also interested in investigating and improving family planning services for active duty servicewomen and women Veterans.
