Profile
Dr. McTigue joined the faculty in 2002. She is trained in internal medicine, preventive medicine, and public health and has a joint appointment with the Department of Epidemiology in the Graduate School of Public Health. Her research interests are in the prevention of chronic disease in women, with a focus on obesity. She has considered both evidence-based clinical medicine and public health approaches to escalating U.S. weight trends. Dr. McTigue co-teaches the epidemiology module of the clinical research methods course and is the associate director of the Clinical Scientist Training Program for residents.
