Dr. McTigue joined the faculty in 2002. She is trained in internal medicine, preventive medicine, and public health and has a joint appointment with the Department of Epidemiology in the Graduate School of Public Health. Her research interests are in the prevention of chronic disease in women, with a focus on obesity. She has considered both evidence-based clinical medicine and public health approaches to escalating U.S. weight trends. Dr. McTigue is the course directors for CLRES 2010, Clinical Research Methods, and is the Director of the Clinical Scientist Track for residents.
