Dr. McAdams joined the Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh in 2001. He received an MD from the School of Medicine at Georgetown University, Washington, DC, and completed an internal medicine residency at UPMC. Dr. McAdams is currently a full-time hospitalist and a core faculty member in the Section of Hospital Medicine. His areas of active interest include adult hospital medicine, curriculum development, hospital quality improvement, patient safety, and the development of tools for billing and length of stay. He maintains professional society memberships in the American College of Physicians and Society of Hospital Medicine.
