Profile
Dr. Barnato joined the faculty in 2001 after completion of a residency in preventive medicine and a fellowship in health care research and health policy. She teaches in the master of science (MS) program in clinical research and administers the dual MD/MS program in the School of Medicine. Her research focuses on the provider and organizational determinants of variation in Medicare beneficiaries' use of intensive care services at the end of life and on racial disparities in end-of-life and other health services utilization.
