Dr. Kroboth is George H. Taber Professor of Medicine and Assistant Dean for Graduate Medical Education. Much of his scholarly accomplishments reflect his focus on patient care and medical education. He served for many years as the program director of the Internal Medicine Residency Training Program and as an educational leader working with the American Board of Internal Medicine in the evolution of the Clinical Evaluation Exercise. Other scholarly works include landmark papers on the diagnosis and treatment of legionnaire's disease. As medical director of the Pharmacodynamic Research Center since 1985, Dr. Kroboth has coauthored papers assessing the sensitivity of specific groups of patients to GABA agonists and, more recently, the role of DHEA and other neurosteroids in the central nervous system.
