Research Interest
My research is directed at clinical studies of emerging therapies in heart failure and pulmonary hypertension patients.
Clinical Interest
I am interested in optimal and efficient care of patients across the entire spectrum of heart failure, from systematic approaches to outpatient populations to mechanical support and transplant for patients with advanced disease. In addition, I focus on the care of patients with all forms of pulmonary hypertension, with a special interest in right heart failure. For both the heart failure and pulmonary hypertension populations we are able to offer the full range of available therapies, including investigational treatments, delivered in a multidisciplinary framework.
Educational Interest
I am active in education for students, trainees and faculty. I have served as program director for the cardiovascular fellowship program and am currently an associate program director. I oversee an on line cardiovascular board review course and lecture annually at the ACC's national review course. I direct an organization focused on community outreach, screening and education regarding cardiovascular disease and its prevention.
