Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Fellowship Training Program

The Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellowship is a three-year program, and time is equally divided between clinical and research training. Since the goal of the fellowship is to prepare physicians for careers in academic Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, an additional year of research training is strongly encouraged and is available for interested trainees.

The Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh offers:

  • Outstanding clinical training that is designed to create master clinicians
    • Large, diverse patient population
    • Experienced and dedicated faculty clinician-educators
    • Intensive experience in multi-disciplinary critical care
    • Focused outpatient training in asthma and allergy, pulmonary vascular disease, interstitial lung disease, cystic fibrosis, COPD, lung cancer, lung transplantation, and sleep medicine
    • Additional subspecialty training fellowships are available in sleep medicine, pulmonary transplantation, and pulmonary vascular disease.
